A revolutionary patented cutting-edge beam bearing plate system designed to streamline installation and save time while reducing costs and injury. They reduce crane time, accelerate construction schedules, and minimize risk.
Golden Beam Pockets provide support for the dead weight of the beam before leveling and grouting, and provide support for the full design weight after grouting. It’s suitable for a range of applications, including use with a stainless steel support beam.
This system can be used as a beam bearing plate for both steel support beams and wood support beams. It will handle a point load of 3 kps or 3000 of dead load, not design load - even before the bearing plate is grouted. It's a reliable bearing plate for steel beams or wood beams in structural applications.
Beam Pocket Small SpecificationsThis system can be used as a beam bearing plate for both steel support beams and wood support beams. It will handle a point load of 5.1 kips—or 5,100 pounds of dead load, not design load—even before the bearing plate is grouted. It's a reliable bearing plate for steel beams or wood beams in structural applications.
Beam Pocket Large SpecificationsICF models are for use with ICF styrofoam blocks.
The bearing plate will support a point load of 3 kps or 3000 pounds of dead load - not design load - before grouting the bearing plate.
CAST-IN-PLACE ADJUSTABLE technology provides a forward-thinking solution for fastening steel beams to concrete walls. This leading-edge system reduces labor, saves money, and helps achieve more sustainable construction. It eliminates site welding, lessens crane time, and improves jobsite safety—all while providing better performance than conventional solutions. The Beam Pocket is engineered to securely anchor structural steel beams to supporting walls for stability and to greatly simplify beam setting and leveling.
48 steel beam-to-concrete connections required in an industrial building were being constructed by fabricator Von Honnecke, structural engineer Peter Monroe, and architect Paul Karius. The group agreed to design a new system of beam pockets to enhance the reliability of this important structural connection and simplify installation. They were infuriated at the inefficiencies and poor performance of conventional beam pockets on past projects.
The GOLDEN BEAM POCKET is protected by U.S. Patent US12012744B2 and is currently pursuing patent approvals in Canada and other countries.
